紙相撲で楽しみました
Having fun with paper sumo
恵の杜の3階フロアにお伺いすると、なんだか盛り上がっているテーブルがありました。何かな？と思って近づいていくと、みんなで紙相撲をしているところでした。
When I visited the third floor of MEGUMI-NO-MORI, I noticed a table that looked like it was having a lively time. I wondered what it was all about, so I went closer and saw that everyone was playing paper sumo.
折り紙でお相撲さんを折ります。
それを台の上にのせて組み合わせてから台をトントンたたきます。
「それー頑張れー！」
「ああ！負けてしまいましたー！」
「残念ー！」
皆さん盛り上がっているようですね。
We folded sumo wrestlers out of origami.
We placed them on the table, assembled them, and then tapped the table.
"Go for it!"
"Ahh! We lost!"
"What a shame!"
Everyone seemed to be having a great time.
「次は〇〇さん、挑戦してみましょう」
「えー、わたしは無理」
「そんなことないですよ、やってみましょう」
ちょっと遠慮している方に、隣にいたご利用者も励まします。
「そうよ、大丈夫よ！ やってみましょうよ」
ということで次の相撲が始まりました。
"Next up is 〇〇, let's try it."
"Huh? I can't do it."
"Don't worry, let's give it a try."
The resident next to her encouraged her, who seemed a little hesitant.
"Yeah, you can do it! Let's give it a try."
And so the next sumo match began.
その後も、順番に紙相撲をしていきました。
遠慮していた方も、みんなに後押しされて挑戦していました。
折り紙を折るだけでなく、折った作品を使ってみんなで楽しんでいる姿がとても印象的でした。

Afterwards, everyone took turns playing paper sumo.
Even those who were hesitant at first gave it a try, encouraged by everyone else.
It was very impressive to see everyone not only folding origami but also having fun using the creations they had made.
